LAKEVIEW — Four homes were burglarized within a week inside a small area of Lakeview this month, according to a police alert released Tuesday.
In every case, police said, the burglars climbed through unlocked windows or forced open the rear door of a residence.
The burglaries were reported at different hours of the day on the following blocks:
• The 800 block of West Roscoe Street on Dec. 10
• The 900 block of West Roscoe Sreet between Dec. 11-12
• The 800 block of West Newport Avenue on Dec. 16
• The 900 block of West Newport Avenue on Dec. 17
In at least one incident, the burglars were described as two black men, one wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray skullcap and the other wearing a dark blue jacket, police said.
