BEVERLY — Horse Thief Hollow and the Beverly Area Arts Alliance invites neighborhood residents to ring in 2016 like it's 1980.

The group behind the annual Beverly Art Walk is partnering with the brew pub at 10426 S. Western Ave. in Beverly to host New Wave New Year. The party will take over Horse Thief Hollow from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. on New Year's Eve.

Horse Thief Hollow is a long-standing supporter of the alliance. It hosts the group's quarterly exhibition called Local Art on Tap, which uses walls and other spaces within the bar and dining area to showcase the work of neighborhood artists.

The New Wave New Year party will offer a sneak peek at the latest Local Art on Tap exhibition, dubbed "Lust For Life."

Partygoers will also enjoy music from the 1980s as well as performance art and heavy appetizers. One artist will even be painting live while the party is underway. A champagne toast will be held at midnight.

Advance tickets to the event are available online through Wednesday and cost $36. Tickets cost $40 at the door. The event will feature a cash bar with Horse Thief Hollow's signature beers as well as some craft cocktails.

A raffle will also be held to support the alliance's upcoming events in 2016. For more information, visit the alliance's website or email founder Monica Wilczak at monica@beverlyarts.org.
