The Best 9 Minutes of Your Day? Watch This Video of Epic Chicago Photos

By Justin Breen | December 21, 2015 6:28am

CHICAGO — Barry Butler spent all of 2015 photographing Chicago.

Of the tens of thousands of photos he took this year, he pared down his 700 favorite ones into 140 select shots he turned into a nearly nine-minute YouTube video. The photos are in chronological order, showing how Chicago changed from season to season.

For the last two decades, the 52-year-old Notre Dame College Prep and Columbia College Chicago graduate has taken thousands of shots of the city's iconic skyline. His passion turned into a part-time job about four years ago as owner of Barry Butler Photography, where the former Irving Park resident sells his work.

"Even with all that shooting, I never get tired of capturing a moment in the prettiest city in America," said Butler, of River West. "All seasons, all hours, and all weather, no city is even a close second."
