NORWOOD PARK — The upcoming holidays will mean a change in garbage and recyclables pickup for residents of the 41st Ward for the next two weeks, Ald. Anthony Napolitano (41st) said.

Neither garbage nor recycling will be picked up on Dec. 25 or Jan. 1, Napolitano's office said in a statement.

Instead, black carts filled with refuse will be hauled away on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31, one day earlier than normal, the alderman's office said.

Blue carts filled with recyclables — you can brush up on the rules here — will be picked up one day later than normal, on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, the alderman's office said.

Normal garbage and recycling service will resume Jan. 8, the alderman's office said.
