Property Tax Appeals Workshop Set for Far Northwest Side

JEFFERSON PARK — Ald. John Arena (45th) will join county and state officials to host a workshop to help homeowners appeal their property tax assessment.

Representatives of the Cook County Board of Review will be on hand to give a presentation and answer questions at 6 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Copernicus Center, 5216 W. Lawrence Ave.

Homeowners in Jefferson Park Township, which includes most of the Far Northwest Side, can pre-register online to file an appeal of their property taxes, Arena said.

The event is co-sponsored by Arena, State Sen. John Mulroe and State Rep. Robert Martwick as well as Cook County Commissioners Bridget Gainer and Peter Silvestri.
