MORGAN PARK — The U.S. Bank branch at 11105 S. Western Ave. in Morgan Park was robbed at 10:30 a.m. Monday, according to the FBI in Chicago.
This is the second such robbery in the area this month, as the U.S. Bank branch at 11159 S. Kedzie Ave. in Mount Greenwood was also robbed on Dec. 4.
The robbers in both incidents can be seen on security cameras. They both remain at large, and neither showed a weapon at the time of the robbery, according to information provided on the FBI's website.
In the latest robbery, the thief was described as a black man between 6 foot and 6-foot-2. It's believed he weighs between 250-350 pounds and is bald, the FBI said.
The robber in Morgan Park was last seen wearing a black Carhartt jacket, dark pants and a black knit cap with a large hole cut from its top, according to the FBI's description.
An unspecified reward is being offered for information about either bank robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call 312-421-6700.
