CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was shot while sitting in his car at a busy Logan Square intersection early Saturday morning, according to police.

The man was a passenger in a car in the 2400 block of West Armitage Avenue — the intersection of Western and Armitage avenues — around 3:55 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.

He was struck in his leg and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, Estrada said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said. No arrests have been made.
