This Photographer Has Captured Some of Chicago's Most Amazing Pics

Photos of Chicago's Downtown by Jeff Lewis

CHICAGO — Jeff Lewis always admired the view from atop Chicago's tallest buildings when installing wireless high-speed Internet antennas in the mid-2000s.

He brought a point-and-shoot camera and clicked pics from the roofs of skyscrapers like the Aon Center.

"None of the pictures were any good. I was not a photographer," Lewis said.

At least not yet.

Over the last 10 years, Lewis has learned the art of photography and has sold countless photos of Chicago's skyline. The River North resident and Ashburn native, 35, sells his photos online at Chicagophotoshop.com and at the Acquisitions of Fine Art gallery in suburban Hinsdale.

"Being a photographer in Chicago is incredibly easy," said Lewis, who has a full-time tech job at Bloomberg. "It's such a beautiful city."

The Arizona State graduate mainly shoots photos of Downtown and River North, including from his 24th-floor River North residence. His favorite spots in the city include the Chicago River near the Wrigley Building and by the Buckingham Fountain.

"My career just evolved," Lewis said. "I learned to take nice photos."
