UPTOWN — Neighbors will be allowed to vote on new plans proposed for the parking lot at 931-933 W. Belle Plaine Ave. Tuesday night.

The vote will take place at the end of a holiday-themed general meeting for the Buena Park Neighbors at Brennemann Elementary School, 4251 N. Clarendon Ave. A meet-and-greet with neighbors will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the meeting, which includes discussions about Brennemann School, the Buena Park Neighbors Association, Lakeview Pantry, neighbor crime concerns with a CAPS officer, neighborhood concerns with Ald. James Cappleman (46th) and the developers plan, according to a flIer for the event.

Brennemann School asks neighbors to donate a wrapped toy for a child between 3-14 for their toy drive and Lakeview Pantry asks neighbors to bring hats or gloves to donate to their clients, the flyer said.

In June, the neighborhood group gave its approval changing zoning for 931-935 W. Belle Plaine Ave. from RT-4, which allows two-flats, townhouses, low-density apartments and single family homes, to RM-5, which allows medium-to-high density apartments. The changes extended the maximum height of the building from 38 feet to 45 feet allowing them to plan a four-story building with 20 units and 21 parking spaces, according to developers.

But in September, Cappleman told developers to mend the plans after neighbors voiced disapproval in another neighborhood meeting.
