Crime By The Numbers: Beverly, Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park

MORGAN PARK — Here's a look at crime numbers reported over the last two months in Beats 2211 and 2212, which includes portions of Beverly and Morgan Park as well as all of Mount Greenwood.

Specifically, Beat 2211 stretches from 99th Street to 117th Street, between Cicero and Western avenues. Beat 2212 spans 103rd Street to 119th Street, between Sacramento and Vincennes avenues.

A combined CAPS meeting for the two beats was held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the multipurpose room in the Chicago Police Department's Morgan Park District at 1900 W. Monterey Ave.

Sister Pat Mahoney is the beat facilitator for the meeting. She said calls for service were up slightly compared to the previous month in Beat 2211, which includes all of Mount Greenwood. The numbers for Beat 2212 were mostly consistent with the previous month.

Mahoney shared crime statistics for both beats from Oct. 1-Dec. 3.

Incidents Reported: 106

Arrests: 34 (23 adults, 11 juveniles)

Contact Cards: 223 (184 adults, 39 juveniles)

Beat 2212

Calls For Service: 3,777

Incidents Reported: 175

Arrests: 46 (39 adults, 7 juveniles)

Contact Cards: 263 (242 adults, 21 juveniles)
