CHICAGO — A 61-year-old Englewood business owner was shot during a robbery at his Ashland Avenue store Thursday, according to police.

The man was in his store in the 6800 block of Ashland Avenue around noon Thursday when two men walked in. One pulled out a handgun and announced a robbery, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The robbers then opened fire, striking the man in his ankle, before making off with cash and the man's cell phone, Pacheco said. The business owner was then taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, Pacheco said.

No arrests have been made, she said.
