Man Charged with DUI, Reckless Homicide After Fatal Dan Ryan Crash: Police

CHICAGO — A 35-year-old Chicago man was charged with reckless homicide and aggravated DUI for a fatal car crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway on Thanksgiving, according to the Illinois State Police.

Around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Lyman B. Harvey was driving on the expressway at 31st Street when he struck the center concrete wall, police said.

His passenger, Chalan V. Peterson, 29, of suburban Maywood, was not wearing her seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries in the crash, police said.
