LAKEVIEW — Maybe you're skipping out on Thanksgiving at home this year, or perhaps one day of family time is all you can manage.

Either way, there's still plenty going on in Lakeview this holiday weekend, so browse through this list as you devour yet another open-face turkey sandwich drenched in gravy and mashed potatoes (hey, no judgment here, friend):

See What Life As a Macy's Elf Is Like: If Christmas cheer isn't your thing, check out "The Santaland Diaries" this weekend at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. Based on David Sedaris' real-life stint as one of Santa's elves at Macy's department store, the irrelevant misadventures are sure to get you laughing. Tickets are $24-36.

Dine Out And Save Yourself the Hassle: Ann Sather will have a Thanksgiving meal available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving. The special includes roast turkey with dressing, chicken vegetable soup or a salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, veggies and homemade pie. The dinner is $19.95 for adults and $14.95 for children and available at all three Ann Sather locations, including 909 W. Belmont Ave. and 3415 N. Broadway in Lakeview. You can also get turkey dinners at Select Cut Steakhouse and Stella's Diner.

Get Fancy with Four Courses: Drew's on Halsted, 3201 N. Halsted St., will offer a four-course Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 10 p.m. for $49 per person. Appetizers include lobster bisque and duck confit risotto, while the main courses range from traditional turkey to a New York strip steak. Salads feature roasted beet and goat cheese, and dessert options include pumpkin pie and chocolate molten lava cake. Make reservations online or by calling 773-244-9191.

Enjoy a Nut-Cracking Christmas Story: Stage 773 is offering $3 discounts with the code word "TURKEY" until the end of the weekend for "It's a Wonderful Santa Land Miracle Nut-Cracking Christmas story, filled with singing, interactive games and stories. With shows at 8:15 p.m. Friday, 5 p.m. Saturday and 3:15 p.m. Sunday, you'll have a chance to get in the holiday spirit in-between leftover gorges.

Chow Down On Thanksgiving All-in-One: There are only a couple more days left to enjoy The Gobbler at DMK Burger Bar, 2954 N. Sheffield Ave. With two turkey patties, gravy, mashed potatoes and housemade cranberry relish, you can enjoy all of the deliciousness of Thanksgiving without all that endless fork moving.

Watch Some Football: Holiday-inspired sandwiches and non-stop game coverage await you at Newport Bar and Grill, 1344 W. Newport Ave. The eatery's "Football Festivus" kicks off at 11 a.m. ahead of the Eagles vs. Lions game. The Panthers vs. Cowboys will play at 3:30 p.m., wrapping up with the Bears vs. Packers at 7:30 p.m. Featured drink specials include $2 domestic bottles and $3 Fireball shots.

Get Rewarded For Doing Good: Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club has a great incentive for you to bring a canned good or nonperishable food item on Wednesday and Thursday. The donation, which will benefit Heartland Health Outreach, gets you 50 percent off martinis and cocktails and 33 percent off dinner. The supper club, 3700 N. Halsted St., will also offer a special Thanksgiving prix fixe menu with all the class fixings — $25 with canned good donation or $49.95 without.
