CHICAGO — A 35-year-old man was killed after being shot in Austin Sunday night, according to police.
The man was in a parked car in the 5400 block of West Race Avenue around 7:35 p.m. Sunday when someone came up to the car and opened fire, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.
He was shot multiple times in his body, Estrada said, and he was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition before being pronounced dead.
Tamar D. Moore, of the 5400 block of West Haddon, was pronounced dead at 8:34 p.m., according to morgue records.
No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, Estrada said.
