CHICAGO — A 38-year-old man was fatally shot in Englewood early Saturday, according to police.
The man was outside talking with his girlfriend in the 1200 block of West 71st Place around 1:10 a.m. when three men approached from a nearby vacant lot and opened fire, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman.
He was shot in his left arm pit and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Pacheco said.
