HUMBOLDT PARK — Police will be holding roadside safety checks to watch for drunk drivers in Humboldt Park Friday night.
Between 7 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday, police will be stationed at the intersection of North Avenue and Albany Avenue and will stop cars "at regular intervals" to check for violations, the announcement said.
A similar traffic stop last December resulted in 48 total citations for driving under the influence, traffic violations and other infractions, police said.
