DOWNTOWN — Drivers should expect delays near the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and the Stevenson Expy. three nights this week, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced Wednesday.
Due to an ongoing construction project, the ramp between northbound Lake Shore Drive and the southbound Stevenson will close at 9 p.m. Wednesday and reopen at 5 a.m. Thursday. A detour will redirect traffic via the 31st Street Lake Shore Drive exit.
The ramp will close again between 11:59 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday morning.
Additionally, the ramp linking southbound Lake Shore Drive with the southbound Stevenson will close overnight Sunday and Monday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., officials said. A detour will redirect traffic via 31st Street.
