CHICAGO — A man is dead and two others are wounded, one seriously, after shootings between Monday morning and Tuesday morning, police said.
Early Monday afternoon, a man was found shot to death in a vacant lot in West Pullman, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Later that evening, a 40-year-old man was in serious condition after being shot in the head in Woodlawn, Pacheco said.
Around 4:30 p.m. Monday, a 21-year-old man suffered a graze wound in a drive-by shooting in Austin, Pacheco said.
The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of West Crystal Street when a dark-colored Jeep pulled up and someone inside fired shots, Pacheco said.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition with a graze wound in the neck, Pacheco said.
Police said the man was a documented gang member.
