UPTOWN — The CTA will be working around the clock this weekend on the Wilson Station Rehab Project.

The work, which begins at 9 p.m. Friday and ends at 11 p.m. Sunday, will include installation of track steel and duct work, the CTA said.

"While progress sometimes comes with inconveniences, we will do our best to keep them to a minimum," the notice from CTA said.

There will some dust and noise during the work but, it will not interfere with vehicular or pedestrian traffic, the CTA said.

The Wilson Red Line Station is getting a $203 million facelift, which makes it one of the largest CTA construction projects in history. Originally built in 1923, the station will get updates and become a new transfer point between Red and Purple lines.
