CHICAGO — A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that could lead to the arrest of the person who killed 20-year-old model Kaylyn Pryor.

Pryor, who lived in Evanston, was visiting her grandparents in Englewood when she was shot and killed on Monday night. Only hours earlier, Pryor had signed with a modeling agency. It was her first major move in her new career after winning a Marior Tricoci modeling competition and being named a "person to watch" by Splash magazine.

The Leaders Network, an interfaith organization that seeks to make life better for Chicago residents, is now offering a reward to help find Pryor's killer.

"Every life matters. This young lady, we want to make sure that she’s not forgotten and that somebody is advocating on her behalf," said Ira Acree, co-chairman of Leaders Network's board. "I’m deeply troubled that a 20-year-old young woman on the heels of a life-changing journey as a model had her life tragically aborted by this epidemic of gun violence that has impacted so many in Chicago."

Anyone with information about Pryor's death and the person who shot her is asked to call 312-747-8275.

"She's one of the best and brightest," Acree said. "Someone should speak up for her."
