CHICAGO — Two men are dead and nine other people wounded in gun violence across the city since Tuesday, according to police. 

A 24-year-old man died after being shot in his head, neck, torso and leg in Gage Park Tuesday night, police said.

Another 24-year-old man died from his gunshot wounds after a shooting in North Lawndale early Tuesday afternoon, police said.

• Most recently, a 27-year-old man was wounded in a Rogers Park shooting Tuesday night, police said.

• A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old man were shot in South Deering Tuesday night, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The 20-year-old was in the back seat of a parked Jeep in the 9600 block of South Brennan Avenue around 8:45 p.m. when someone in a passing sedan opened fire, Pacheco said.

The driver of the Jeep tried to drive away but struck a tree, Pacheco said. The wounded man then walked to the 9700 block of South Van Vlissingen Road, where an ambulance picked him up and brought him to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

A 16-year-old boy was also shot in the incident, Pacheco said. The boy was walking when he heard shots and felt pain, Pacheco said. He was struck in his back and hip and was eventually taken to Stroger Hospital where he was treated and released, Pacheco said.

The 16-year-old is a documented gang member, police said.

• A 34-year-old man was injured in a Washington Heights shooting Tuesday night, Pacheco said. He was shot during an armed robbery attempt in the 1200 block of West 96th Street around 7:50 p.m. when he was shot in his right shoulder and buttocks, Pacheco said. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, she said.

• A 24-year-old man was injured in a shooting in South Chicago Tuesday evening, Pacheco said. The man was walking in the 8600 block of South Exchange Avenue around 5:30 p.m. when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and someone inside got out and opened fire, Pacheco said. He was struck in his buttocks and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

• A 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were shot in Woodlawn Tuesday evening, Pacheco said. The two were on the sidewalk in the 700 block of East 62nd Street around 5:08 p.m. when someone opened fire from a passing car, Pacheco said.

The woman was shot in her back and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, Pacheco said. The man was shot in his left hand and was taken to University of Chicago Hospital in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

• An 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were wounded in a West Garfield Park shooting Tuesday morning, Pacheco said. The two were in the 3900 block of West Madison Street around 11 a.m. when two attackers walked up and one opened fire, Pacheco said. 

The man was struck in his chest and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, Pacheco said. The girl was struck in her arm and refused medical attention, Pacheco said.

No arrests have been made.
