SOUTH LOOP — Thirteen people were taken to hospitals after a student van was rear ended in the South Loop.
The accident occurred Tuesday morning at Roosevelt Road and Columbus Drive. Fire Department spokesman Will Knight said 10 people were taken to Rush, Northwestern and Lurie Children's hospitals, but a tweet from the Fire Department later said there were "now 13" people transported to hospitals.
Everyone was in "stable" condition, Knight said, but he could not provide further information on the accident.
Police said they did not yet have information about the incident.
