CHICAGO — One person has died and five others were wounded in gun violence since Saturday night, according to police.

A man was killed after he attempted to rob a Gage Park store at gunpoint Saturday night, police said.

In non-fatal shootings:

• Most recently, a 26-year-old man was shot in Fuller Park early Sunday, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was leaving a party in the 4900 block of South Princeton Avenue around 1:25 a.m. when shots rang out, Sedevic said. He was struck in his hip and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in "stable" condition, Sedevic said. Police could not say if his injuries were life threatening.

• Three men were shot in a drive-by in Burnside late Saturday, Sedevic said. The men were in a parked car in the 9000 block of South Greenwood Avenue around 10:55 p.m. when someone in a white car opened fire as it passed, Sedevic said.

A 23-year-old man was shot in his right arm and back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Sedevic said. Police could not say if his injuries were life threatening.

A 21-year-old man was shot in his cheek, right eye and buttocks and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Sedevic said.

A 24-year-old man was shot in his shoulder and taken to Advocate Christ in "stable" condition, Sedevic said. Police could not say the extent of his injuries.

The 24-year-old has gang ties, a police source said, and the shooting may have been gang related.

• A 23-year-old man was shot in Belmont Cragin Saturday night, according to Sedevic. He was walking in the 5700 block of West Fullerton Avenue around 10:25 p.m. when a man approached and opened fire, Sedevic said.
