EAST VILLAGE — The Cotton Duck, a contemporary American restaurant/art gallery hybrid, will launch a new brunch at 11 a.m. Sunday, with 10 percent of all sales going to Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS).

Billed in a news release as a "Daylight Savings" celebration and a last chance to enjoy al fresco dining, the indoor and outdoor event will feel as if it is starting at 10 a.m. due to the tradition of turning clocks one hour back.

Located at 941 N. Damen Ave. and owned by James Beard-nominated chef Dominic Zumpano and art gallery owner Cecilia Lanyon, The Cotton Duck's first Sunday brunch will include live acoustic music and "fall-inspired bites" in the restaurant's cobblestone courtyard.

Guests are welcome to bring their dogs to the courtyard, a Cotton Duck spokeswoman confirmed on Wednesday. The general public is also invited to stop by for complimentary coffee outdoors. The weekly brunch, set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday, also offers a BYO spirits option, so guests can add their own liquor to cocktails from beverage director Adam Seger.

The Cotton Duck, 941 N Damen Ave. Hours are 5 to 10 p.m. Monday – Friday, and 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday- Sunday. Brunch is served only on Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For reservations, call 773-661-6131.
