CHICAGO — A man tried to lure a girl to his car by whistling and blowing kisses to her, police have warned.

At 4:21 p.m. Oct. 26, a girl was walking in the 3000 block of North Cicero Avenue when a man drove alongside her and tried to lure her into his car, according to a community alert. The man whistled at the girl and blew her kisses with his hand, then motioned for her to get into the car.

The girl ran into a nearby business and called her mother, who told the police about the incident.

The man is a 50- to 60-year-old white man with white hair parted in the middle, white eyebrows and a white mustache, according to police. He was driving a maroon-colored, four-door car, which was possibly a Dodge Neon.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 312-744-8200.
