WICKER PARK — On Takito Kitchen's menu since the Mexican-cuisine inspired restaurant opened in 2013, an Alaskan King Crab taco will be replaced on Nov. 1, it was announced earlier this week.

Chef David Dworshak chose October to give the crab taco "a proper send-off" as part of National Seafood Month, according to a news release.

The Alaskan King Crab taco dish cost $15 for three tacos and features pickled garlic, jalapeno, lemon, corn and cilantro.

Replacing the crab taco is the $12 chicken tinga taco, which features chicken over a made-to-order corn tortilla, arbol and morita chiles, roasted garlic crema, pepitas and pickled grapes.

Prior to Takito Kitchen, Dworshak worked at Carnivale and Spring Restaurant.

Located at 2013 W. Division St. in a long narrow space that was formerly home to a French-Latin restaurant Sabor Saveur, Takito Kitchen's menu is divided into Shared Starters, Tacos, Shared More (entrees) and Sweets.
