CHICAGO — A car accident in Belmont Cragin early Friday injured as many as five people and sent two to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

Two cars were traveling southbound on Cicero Avenue near Armitage Avenue when one crashed into the other, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Pacheco said four or five people were injured in the crash, and that two of them were sent to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

Information on those injured has not been released.

Police are still investigating the crash, Pacheco said.
