CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man was wounded after a shooting Wednesday in Rogers Park, according to police.

The man was in the 1900 block of West Birchwood Avenue around 8:12 p.m. Wednesday when he was shot twice in the chest, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in critical condition, Pacheco said.

The man is a documented gang member, according to police.

No arrests have been made, Pacheco said.
