CHICAGO — Police are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run that killed a 63-year-old woman.

The woman was hit by a 2002 silver Ford Explorer while crossing the street at 6:52 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of West Howard Street, police said. The driver did not help the victim, Cynthia Goldsher, of Skokie, according to police.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said Goldsher died at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston at 12:22 p.m. Tuesday.

Police found the car used in the crash, but they're asking anyone with information that could help identify the driver to call 312-745-4521.
