
ANDERSONVILLE — The Swedish American Museum will be honoring the North Park University's Center for Scandinavian Studies and Dr. Charles Peterson at its annual ball this year.
The Three Crowns Ball will take place at the Crystal Ballroom in Evanston on Nov. 7 and feature dinner, dancing and a silent auction. The ball is in its third year and benefits Brunk Children's Museum of Immigration and the Swedish American Museum, at 5211 N. Clark St., according to a news release.
At 6 p.m., cocktails will be served and the silent auction begins. The auction will include: a Blackhawks jersey autographed by Jonathan Toews; first-class Delta plant tickets; sightseeing tours; an Electrolux Precision Brushroll Clean Vacuum; Koval Distillery Tour and Tasting; and spa and salon packages, the release said.
Dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m. Black tie is optional. Tickets for the even can be purchased here.
Raffle tickets for the event can also be purchased at the museum. A ticket costs $20 or participants may purchase six tickets for $100. Winners will be announced at the benefit, but winners don't need to be present.
First prize is a collection of gift certificates to restaurants, hotels, tours and more. Second place is artwork by Marketa Sivek. Third prize is two tickets to the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce's Lucia Luncheon. Fourth prize is a family membership to the Swedish American Museum and $200 gift certificate to the store, according to the release.
Raffle tickets can be purchased until Nov. 6 at the museum or at the benefit Nov. 7.
