UPTOWN — Over the last three months, theft was the most prominent crime in the portion of Uptown policed by the Town Hall District, according to data available through the Chicago Police Department website.
While that is hardly a surprise considering theft is one of the most common crimes reported in the U.S., data shows that while it peaked in August for one beat, other beats experienced the most thefts in September, according to the data.

Beat 1911 is bordered by Lawrence Avenue on the north, Irving Park Road on the South, the Chicago River on the west and Damen Avenue on the east.
Beat 1912 is bordered by Lawrence Avenue on the north, Irving Park Road on the South, Damen Avenue on the west and Clark Street on the west.
Beat 1913 is bordered by Montrose Avenue on the south, Lawrence Avenue on the north, Broadway on the east and Clark Street on the west.
Beat 1914 is bordered by Montrose Avenue on the south, Lawrence Avenue on the north, Broadway on the west and Lake Michigan on the east.
Beat 1915 is bordered by Irving Park on the south, Montrose Avenue on the north, Clark Street on the west and Lake Michigan on the east.
