DOWNTOWN — Like most Cubs fans, Isaiss Rosas has Jake Arrieta on his mind.
The Rock Island third grader has become a social media hit thanks to his ridiculously detailed haircut of the Cubs pitcher which his father crafted on the back of the 9-year-old's cranium.
Isaiss waited patiently as barber Miguel Rosas shaved the scowling Arrieta's mug into his hair last week. His patience paid off.
"I've gotten money off it," Isaiss said.
His dad confirmed it.
"Every time someone takes a picture of it, he tells them to give him two or three dollars," Miguel said. "He's made about 90 dollars off of it."
His dad, who works at the New Style Barber Shop in Moline, has to touch it up every two days. Miguel says he chose Arrieta because, well, the pitcher's on fire.
And his facial features didn't hurt.
"The beard takes up a lot of his face," Miguel said.
