DUNNING — Ald. Nicholas Sposato (38th) is hoping to turn Chicago Cubs playoff fever sweeping the city into some cold hard cash for charities in Portage Park and Dunning.

Sposato will give two tickets to Game Four of the National League Division Series between the Cubs and  the St. Louis Cardinals to the person who makes the largest donation to a 38th Ward charity, he announced Friday.

The game is set to be played at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wrigley Field.

Sposato is accepting bids in $5 increments via email at info@aldermansposato.com through 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Sposato announced on Facebook that the auction would be extended past its original deadline of noon Monday while he confirmed the location of the seats. The high bid was $1,000, he said.

Donations can be made to the following charities or nonprofit groups:

New Horizon Center for Children and Adults with Developmental Disabilities and Autism
• Sunshine Activity Center
• Maryville Academy
• 38th Ward Food Pantry
• Any 38th Ward school
• 38th Ward Boyscout troops.

Entries must include the entrant's name, address, daytime phone number, bid amount and charity. Sposato said he will choose the winner, and a certified check or money order must be provided when the tickets are picked up.
