Epic Fest Promises To Bring Laughs to Edison Park

EDISON PARK — This year's Edison Park comedy festival promises to be truly epic with two more days, two more shows and a new location, organizers said.

Now known as the Edison Park Infectious Comedy Fest — a.k.a the Epic Fest — the eight-show event organized by the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce and Yes I Am Show Business promises to bring some of the nation's funniest comedians to four Edison Park locations as part of the seventh-annual festival set to run from Oct. 13-18.

Marty DeRosa, known for his podcast "Wrestling with Depression," will headline the first night of the fest at 8 p.m. at Moretti's, 6727 N. Olmsted Ave.

Chicago-native and Second City alum Ronnie Ray will headline the 8 p.m. Oct. 14 show at Edison Park Inn, 6715 N. Olmstead Ave.

Comedian Jeanie Doogan, who was named one of Chicago Parents’ Magazine’s funniest parents, will headline the 8 p.m. Oct. 15 show at at Emerald Isle Bar and Grill, 6686 N. Northwest Hwy.

Tim Barnes, the host of Touch Vision TV's comedy podcast "It's All True," will headline the 8 p.m. Oct. 16 show at The Wip Theater, 6670 N. Northwest Highway.

Junior Stopka, who appeared on NBC's "Last Comic Standing," will headline the 10 p.m. Oct. 16 show at the Wip Theater.

Dwyane Kennedy, who has starred in specials on Comedy Central, will headline the 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Oct. 17 shows at the Wip Theater.

The final show of the festival at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 will be an all-Irish comedian showcase featuring Kelsie Huff, Adam Burke, Jim Flannigan, Sean Flannery and C.J. Sullivan.
