LOGAN SQUARE — This weekend's farmers market in Logan Square will have a special addition to kick off the fall.

For the first time, the Harvest & Cider Fest will be held in conjunction with the Logan Square Farmers Market on Sunday.

The festival, a one-day event, will be held at the end of the row where the market is typically held, 3107 W. Logan Blvd.

The Harvest & Cider Fest will include pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, a variety of soft and hard ciders for sampling, folk and blue grass music and food options.

Guest who want to sample all the hard ciders can buy a package for $20, which includes five samples and one full glass of cider.

There is no entrance fee for the fest, and guests can buy ciders and participate in other activities on a pay-as-you-go basis.

The fest will run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce.
