STREETERVILLE — What could be the nation's first Target store with a bar is set to open Oct. 11, according to a report.

The Minnesota-based grocery chain recently put a sign out by its future Streeterville store, 401 E. Illinois St., with next month's opening date, Eater reported Saturday.

Target Corp. said previously it eyed an October opening for the grocery, which received a city permit to serve alcohol and is filling space left vacant two years ago by upscale grocer Fox & Obel.
