SOUTH CHICAGO — A 38-year-old man was found dead in his home with a gunshot wound to his neck early Tuesday, police said.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead, shortly after arriving at his house at 4:50 a.m. on the 8500 block of Burley Avenue in South Chicago, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Albert Gonzalez, of the same block, was pronounced dead at 5:19 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

An investigation is underway and no further information was available, Sedevic said.
