Police Warn Jefferson Park Residents About Four Daytime Burglaries

JEFFERSON PARK — Four homes in Jefferson Park and Norwood Park have been burglarized during the daytime and early evening in recent weeks, police warned.

The incidents happened in the:

• 5000 block of north Major Avenue between 5:30 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Sept. 1
• 5000 block of north Moody Avenue at 4 p.m. Sept. 9
• 5900 block of north Austin Avenue between 11 a.m. and noon Sept. 10
• 5800 block of north Mason Avenue between 7:30-9:05 p.m. Sunday

The burglars entered the homes and apartments through doors and took electronics, jewelry and cash, police said.

Anyone with information about the crimes can call detectives at 312-747-8263.

The alert issued Wednesday marks the second time this month police warned about daytime burglaries on the Far Northwest Side.
