HUMBOLDT PARK — A man was shot and wounded just after midnight Tuesday in Humboldt Park, police said.

Around 12:20 a.m., the man was shot in a "possible drive-by" in the 1500 block of North Washtenaw Avenue, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was brought to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was "stable" after being shot in the  back, Pacheco said.

Police said the man is a self-described gang member.
