GARFIELD PARK — A 20-year-old man is dead after a shooting Monday night in Garfield Park, police said.

Around 10:30 p.m., the man was standing in the 3800 block of West Van Buren Avenue when someone walked up and shot him in the abdomen, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, Pacheco said.

The man has been identified as Jaylyn Drounsaville of the 3800 block of West Van Buren Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Police said the shooting may have been drug-related.
