AUBURN GRESHAM — A man died after being shot multiple times in Auburn Gresham Sunday night, police said.

Around 9:10 p.m., the man heard gunshots outside his home in the 8300 block of South Wood Street, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. He went outside to check on the situation when he was struck in his face, chest and left arm.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead on the scene, Sedevic said.

The incident occurred about a half-mile away from another fatal shooting, which happened just over two hours earlier, according to police.

No one is in custody, Sedevic said.
