BEVERLY — Here's a look at crime numbers reported over the last month in Beat 2213, which includes Beverly and portions of Washington Heights.

Specifically, Beat 2213 stretches from 95th Street to 103rd Street, between Western Avenue and Vincennes Avenue. A CAPS meeting for the area was held Thursday night at Ridge Park, 9625 S. Longwood Drive, in Beverly.

Officer Carressa Northcross works in the CAPS office for the Chicago Police Department in the Morgan Park District. She shared crime statistics in the area for Aug. 9-Sept. 10.

Northcross said the statistics seemed to reflect a slight surge typical of the late summer months. She expects the figures to fall next month with children back in school and cooler weather approaching.

Incidents Reported: 83

Arrests: 18 (14 adults, 4 juveniles)

Contact Cards: 72 (65 adults, 7 juveniles)
