Woman Killed, Man Hurt in Englewood Shooting

ENGLEWOOD — A woman is dead and a man is hurt following a shooting in Englewood Sunday morning, police said.

Around 7:45 a.m., a 34-year-old man and a woman of an unknown age were shot in the 7200 block of South Green Street, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The woman was pronounced dead on scene with a gunshot wound in her stomach, Sedevic said.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition with a gunshot wound in his leg, Sedevic said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information about the shooting.

No one is in custody, Sedevic said.
