JEFFERSON PARK — The Well of Mercy — a home for women and children struggling to get out of poverty — will hold a fundraiser at Gale Street Inn, organizers said.

West Ridge-based The Well of Mercy, a Catholic organization, helps single pregnant women and their children. The home, at 6339 N. Fairfield Ave., helps the women "work to build a poverty-free future for themselves and their families."

The benefit will take place from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 15 at Gale Street Inn, 4914 N. Milwaukee Ave., organizers said.

Tickets for the benefit are $60 and include a buffet dinner and beer, wine and pop, organizers said.

Tickets are available online or available by mail by writing to Mary Morley, 6116 N. Kilbourn Ave., Chicago, IL 60646.
