ROSELAND — A man died and six others were hurt when a car drove into a CTA bus in Roseland early Wednesday morning, police said.
At 2:32 a.m., a man was driving north on Michigan Avenue at 107th Street when he veered his Toyota Corolla into oncoming traffic, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man hit a CTA bus stopped at a red light in the southbound lanes, Sedevic said.
The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Sedevic said.
Six people on the bus, including its driver, were brought to local hospitals, where they were treated for minor injuries, Sedevic said.
Four other people on the bus refused medical treatment, Sedevic said.
The Police Department's Major Accident unit is investigating the incident, Sedevic said.
