CHICAGO — Meet a few scientists — and some water beetles — at the Field Museum Friday.
The "Meet a Scientist" event will be the last for the series before resuming in October.
"Meet a Scientist" takes place from 10 a.m. to noon every Friday at the museum at 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive. Field Museum researchers show off items usually found behind-the-scenes at the museum and talk about their research.
Scientists Matt von Konrat and Laura Briscoe will bring out ancient ferns and teach guests how to perform "Citizen Science" at Stanley Field Hall. Crystal Maier, a collections manager, will present water beetles.
The event is free with museum admission.
