DOWNTOWN — Chicago Police say they're investigating a video that appears to show an officer saying "Mike Brown deserved it," referring to last year's police shooting of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Mo.

The video, posted to gossip site Media Takeout, shows a Chicago officer in an unmarked squad car arguing with two men during what looks like a traffic stop.

"It's all black people that live here, so I got no choice but to pull over f------ black people," the officer says in the video. "If you don't like it, then move."

After the man filming says: "We don't trust y'all, you heard about Mike Brown," the officer responds: "Mike Brown deserved it. He got what he had coming."

CPD officials denounced the officer in the video, saying he doesn't speak for the department.

“CPD prides itself on fostering productive relationships with communities to help make Chicago safer,” the department said in a statement. “The comments in the video are troubling and do not represent the views of this department."

Police said they've opened an internal affairs investigation of the officer, who they did not identify. The investigation was first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.

On Nov. 24, 2014, a grand jury in St. Louis County declined to charge Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for shooting Brown six times, killing the 18-year-old.

Wilson testified that Brown had charged at him, threatening his safety, but at least one witness said the teen had put his hands up and said "don't shoot" before being gunned down.
