CHICAGO — Wednesday is National Dog Day, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate with or without a dog in Chicago.

Here are five things to do in celebration of canines:

Dog Fashion Show

The Talbott Hotel, 20 E. Delaware Place in the Gold Coast, goes above and beyond for four-legged guests and will roll out the runway for its Doggy Fashion Show Wednesday. Those on the catwalk will sport fashions from Tails in the City and Vanderpump Pets, and two of the models will be adoptable dogs from Paws Chicago.

Guests can bring their dogs, and there's a $10 suggested donation. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. RSVP by calling Mercadito at 312-640-8141 and mention the Dog Fashion Show.

Taste food from Forty Carrots at Bloomingdale’s, Allium at Four Seasons Chicago, Sur La Table, and Mercadito Kitchen. Sip cocktails such as the Peared Sake Cocktail from Sunda New Asian or have a sweet treat from Sprinkles cupcakes.

Tickets are $20 per person and available for purchase here.
