CHICAGO — Police are warning community members after men robbed two ice cream trucks last weekend in West Humboldt Park.

In the most recent incident, on Aug. 16 at about 9:56 p.m., two men with a black handgun robbed an ice cream truck and took an "undetermined" amount of cash in the 4400 block of West Thomas Street, police said in a statement Friday. The first robber was a black man in his 30s and the second was a younger black man with dreadlocks.

On Aug. 15 at about 3:23 p.m., a black man in his late 50s robbed another ice cream truck on the 4200 block of West Thomas Street, police said. He was described as 5'10", 160 lbs., with a dark complexion and black handgun. The robber also to an "undetermined" amount of cash.
