ROGERS PARK — It's wedding season in Chicago, and that can only mean one thing: Chihuahua engagement parties.
This Sunday Rogers Park pups Napoleon and Tequila will be celebrating their upcoming September nuptials with a champagne toast at the Glenwood Sunday BARKET — a market just one block south of the weekly Glenwood Sunday Market designed to pamper furry friends.
The market will feature a photographer, prize wheel and bubbles, organizers say. It will be at the same time as the regular market, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Glenwood Ave. between Morse and Lunt.
Prizes will also be awarded for longest ears, shortest legs, curliest fur, biggest smile, longest tongue and best under-bite.
Starting at 11 a.m., Rogers Park Social will feature wine tastings from Mutt Lynch Wines, a wine brand that helps support local animal rescue organizations.
Then, at 1 p.m., Napoleon and Tequila invite market-goers to join them and their proud parents in raising a glass to their wedded future.
